Some of your favorite (including mine... i wear all three i mentioned) cosmetics companies do not test on animals when creating their products. To some of you this may be a big deal, to others it may not. And to those that it doesnt shame on you, haven't you seen Legally Blonde 2? (i kid i kid... to each their own really). To be able to use this logo when advertising their product (you'll actually see the lil bunny guy in sephora next to them, i know i saw him next to Smashbox and Urban Decay durring my last trip) a company must either have signed PETA's statement of assurance or provided a statement verifying that they do not conduct or commission any nonrequired animal tests on ingredients, formulations, or finished products and that they pledge not to do so in the future. On the list it will even have a V next to the companies that are completely Vegan. (Urban Decay has an entire section on their website devoted to show you which of their products are vegan).

So my little sis is visiting from Alaska and i've been to busy to make a proper post here. (I have something in the works, no worries...for the few that read this blog anyways...lol). But to tide you over here is the "bitch" himself... William Sledd!

I personally have nothing against thrift stores (except shoes... that just seems wrong). I got an awesome semi formal at one for under $20 and if your big in to reconstructing the possibilities are endless. What about you guys? Do you shop at thrift stores?

Not all of us are lucky enough to live near an outlet mall...and some of us have "expensive taste" as my mom likes to call it. (Meaning i like really nice things even though i cant afford them half the time). Well, there is a website for you then at http://www.yoox.com .

Yoox is pretty much an online high end outlet mall. They have everything from Armani to Versace and everything in between. Their selection varies as well as their sizes. If you sign up to be on their mailing list you can find out about their major sales before anyone else for an even bigger discount. So if you've had your eye on a certain designer piece give Yoox a try. They may have it or you may discover another designer piece to fall in love with.

Todays mascara will be Cargo's Texas Lash...

CARGO's new must-have for Texas-sized high volume lashes in an instant. The fat, oversized brush allows for easy application with just one coat for immediate impact.

Well, before i can show you if it actually worked, i have to show you the sleep and coffee deprived before photo...

And did i get Texas sized lashes?

Well, they do have more deffinition then before and they did appear to get some more length. (my lashes are naturaly unruley so thats why they dont have that natural curl). But volume? I'm a little iffy on that one. They really don't appear to be that much thicker...

Five mascara's down and five more to go... Will any of these mascara's give me the "oomf" that im looking for...

The Beauty of Outlet Malls

I know when some people hear the phrase "outlet mall" images of horrible clothes that couldnt sell 3 seasons ago pop into mind. Some outlet malls were like that and some might still be like that, but not all outlet malls are like that. In fact there are many great outlet malls in the U.S. where you can score great deals on great looking merchandise...

Prime Outlets is one of my favorites. They are all across the United States and i am fortunate to live within an hour of two of them. On a recent trip to visit a friend in California i stoped by the Prime Outlet near his house and scored this gorgeous Coach leather brief case (which i so need for work). Originally over $400 and i bought it for $115!

Just this week, me and my mom had a girls day out where we went to a Prime Outlet in Maryland and i scored another lovely Coach purse. (Yes i have a thing for purses). Originally $285 and i got it for around $90!

And since winter is comming up i needed a new cute but functional winter coat. Well, i went into a store at the outlet mall and got this $250 Guess wool trench coat for $50!

Though a further drive from me, the "Mills" outlet malls are great to. (i personally have been to Gurnee Mills, Anne Arundel Mills, and Potomac Mills). I got a $500+ Kenneth Cole suit for around $200!

The outlet malls have it all! Banana Republic, Kenneth Cole, Coach, Puma (a favorite of my moms), Calvin Klein, and much much more. These are just two of the different outlet malls i've been to but im sure there are more out there with even more/greater stores and great deals.

So we know that im a fan of outlet malls but what about you? Do any of you guys shop at outlet malls and if so which ones? What are some of your favorite items that you were able to buy that you would not have been able to at the regular store?

A couple days ago lovelyish did a post on headbands... while i love headbands and think they're the new savior to a bad hair day i didnt really like the pictures of the examples... so here is how i wear my headbands (and i got it for maybe $5 at clairs...)

I think not... while they do have more definition (by that i mean u can see them more) there really isn't a whole lot of improvement in length and volume... i was really looking forward to this mascara as i love urban decay, especially their eyeshadow primer potion (a must have for everyone... i swear) and their lingerie and galoshes for lashes (a primer to add some thickness to your lashes as well as a side to make any mascara water proof). It also seems a lot of users over at Sephora agree with me...

Todays mascara was the Sephora Atomic Volume mascara.

Of course the needed i have no lashes before pic...

And the after...

The goal of this mascara was to "get the most volume out of your lashes." Well, i deffinatly got volume and you can see them in the second pic vs the first one. It really did make them thicker and made my eye pop. My only qualms with this really is that its a little clumpy. But nothing an eyelash comb cant fix.

Aight, well since tomorrow is sunday im taking the day of from product reviews... i might do some random beuty product blogging though since i recently got my sephora shipment in...

Ok... so the mascara i wore today was the Make Up Forever Professional Smoky Lash...

This mascara is said to "give the lashes curl, volume, length, and intense pigment."

Well, here is my eye this morning...

And here are two pics (one a more close up shot then the other) of my eye after applying the mascara...

Did the mascara give my eyelashes curl? little bit... dont forget i also used an eyelash curler (probbly shouldnt have to see how much of the curl effect was the mascara). Did i get volume? Well considering you could barely see my lashes in the first pic yet u can see them in the after i would say so...same goes for the length. THough u will notice in the more up close shot that it seems my lashes are a lil on the sparse side... i just naturally dont have thick/lush lashes so this mascara did help out a little bit. As for pigment... im assuming they mean more color and yes my lashes did get a richer shade/color of black.

So overall, the mascara did do to a point (again i have crappy lashes to begin with) what it said it would do. As for how it stacks up against the other mascara's i still have 8 more to review...

The next mascara up will be the Sephora Atomic Volume mascara.
